Winter Trails Begin on Saturday January 7th
Winter Trails Day is set to kick off tomorrow, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at over 80 locations across the nation. The national event series was created to introduce individuals, families and groups to snowshoeing and cross country skiing . The coolest part about the event is that not only are these people getting exposed to a new sport, but they are being introduced on gear that utilizes the latest technologies. Snowshoes and cross country skis have made significant strides over the years, and the innovations are making the two sports more fun than ever.
“The learning curve is much different now and success comes far earlier than even before,” said Reese Brown, SIA Nordic Director. “The new technology has made the equipment perform better making the learning experience far more enjoyable.”
Winter Trails offers children and adults new to snow sports a chance to try snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing FREE at venues throughout North America. There is no charge for the use of equipment or trails. Most locations offer snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Some locations only offer snowshoeing. Current alpine skiers and/or snowboarders are also encouraged to try an alternative snow sport.
What type of foot do the Salomon Foil Ski boots fit?
I am looking at buying a barely used 2007 Salomon Foil Ski boot for $250CAD. Is this a fair price and what type of foot do they fit. I have a narrow heel, wide forefoot, and low instep and I have a really hard time finding a freestyle/freeride boot
I have the same foot shape and use a Salomon boot. I'm not familiar with the model you mention but most brands seem to use one shape for most of their gear. As you mention Salomon has a wide toe box and a medium to small heel. You may need to add
