In Gotham City Impostors, art sort of imitates life (preview)
Except that there are no defined roles. Myers emphasized this a lot: Players can play how they want to play. Everything is customizable from the heroes’ apperance to the two weapons they take into battle, secondary item and the means for locomotion.Playing a few matches on The Dock map, I enjoyed the creativity in the weapons and gadgets. Teams on both sides have the grappling hook, the glider rig, spring shoes, roller skates and inflatable insoles. Each gadget offered a different way of moving around the map.
PICK HOW YOU MOVE: Glider-rig folks can fly in the air as long as they jump on trampolines or pass over steam vents. They can also dive bomb players. The grappling hook is self-explanatory though the process of reeling yourself in seems a little slow. I don’t know how useful it can be in a match. Spring shoes let players jump to rooftops by holding down the gadget button and letting go. Roller skates let players move quickly and launch themselves great distances via ramps. Lastly, the inflatable insoles allows players to do a double jump.
