Raeven King laced up her sneaker obsession in a very visual way. The former Omahan opened the online Limited Edition Gallery earlier this year with a focus on sneaker art and culture. She and her business partner, Tennelle Simpson, feature art conceived from or inspired by athletic footwear.
"Our goal is to change the image of sneakers from simply shoes to art," said King, 30, who now lives in New York City. "We want to show the intense detail and aesthetics that go into a shoe and ultimately inspire others to see the beauty through art."
Sneakers have a very devout following. They're one of the most sought-after fashion accessories in New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and Paris.
